This LivePro pump weight set is a 40kg barbell and plate kit for pump-style group classes and home workouts. Studios use sets like this for high-rep classes, and at home it gives you enough plates to change the load for squats, presses, curls, lunges and deadlifts without buying a full Olympic setup.
What is in the set
| Plates | 2 x 1.25kg, 2 x 2.5kg, 2 x 5kg, 2 x 10kg |
|---|---|
| Bar | 1400mm steel bar that screws together from 3 parts |
| Collars | 2 spring collars |
| Plates made of | Iron and cement core with a rubber coating |
| Brand | LivePro |
Why coated plates
The rubber coating protects the floor and keeps the noise down when plates go on and off or the bar is put down between tracks. Each plate size is a different colour, so an instructor can call a change by colour and the class knows what to grab without reading the numbers.
Using it
Load the plates you need, slide on the spring collars, and change weight between exercises. The bar comes apart into three pieces, which makes it easier to store in a cupboard or under a bed. Because of how the plates are made, some may arrive with surface marks or a little iron residue.
These pump weights are part of our Group Fitness Weight Sets range. For heavier bars and loose plates, see Barbells and Weight Plates. If you would rather use a collar that locks, there are snap lock collars made for LivePro 20/40kg sets.

Very impressed with NZ fitness gear. Even though I ordered this product to the wellington store to be picked up, it got shipped to my house which I was not expecting. It came within the week that I ordered. The reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the metal steel bar can be a bit flakey and parts of it have already peeled off. Other than that, highly recommend this product.

These work wonderfully for BodyPump. I’m very happy with the largest weight in particular. The only annoying thing is that the lock collars to keep the plates in place are a bit cheap and hard to get on and off, so I’m going to buy a different set of those.

one weight was faulty, but quickly rectified, thank you

Excellent condition and service. Delivered 2 days after order and I have been using the set daily. Only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star rating is because the pole (3 parts) loosens at times during workout as well as spring locks are a hassle would prefer clip on locks for faster handling. Other than that I have already recommended to a friend as I am impressed with quality for the cost I paid.

Awesome product, the bar screws together but is very sturdy, the weights are great quality, the clips are a bit hard the get on and off but overall am enjoying the barbell and would buy again!
