Shaped like a bone, this 10cm x 14cm stainless steel gua sha scraper is sized for small to medium areas such as the forearms, neck, calves, chest and back. A pointed end reaches around smaller joints. It is in our Massage Sticks and Massage Tools range.
Gua sha scrapers are used for IASTM, a scraping style of soft tissue massage. Chiropractors, physios, occupational therapists, athletic trainers and massage therapists use them in the clinic, and many people use them at home. Apply a little oil or cream, then run an edge along the muscle with light pressure and a shallow angle. Use the curved sides for broader areas and the pointed end around the elbow, knee or ankle.
The edges are polished to a mirror finish, so the tool moves over the skin smoothly without scratching, and it cleans with a quick wipe.
