The Compression or Voodoo Floss Band is an essential performance tool and should be a staple in the gym bag of every athlete looking to improve range, restore joint mechanics, unglue matted down or previously injured tissue.
As the bands are used whilst athletes perform the movements, they are great at returning blood flow to stiff/cold tissue after injury and compressing swelling out of joints and tissue. Their performance is unmatched when it comes to returning mobility to tissue and joints and should be used regularly to help you push your limits.
The trick with a compression band is to bind it around a limb above, below or across the joint in order to dam the blood flow for a brief period of time (between thirty seconds to two minutes). Once the band is released, fresh blood will flood into the affected area, irrigating it with blood and oxygen.
