A calf raise stand gives you a raised edge to stand on, so your heels can drop below your toes and your calves work through a longer range than they can on a flat floor. This one is heavy-gauge steel with a powder-coated finish. It has a non-slip surface on top and a non-slip base underneath, so it stays put while you train, and it arrives ready to use with nothing to assemble.
How people use it
- Standing calf raises with a dumbbell in each hand, or with a barbell across your back in a rack.
- Single-leg raises, one hand on a wall or upright for balance, to work each side on its own.
- Calf stretches: stand on the edge, let your heels sink below the platform and hold.
- Slow, controlled raises as part of a rehab programme set by your physio or coach.
Start with bodyweight and slow reps, pausing at the top and bottom of each one, and add load once the full range feels easy. A pause at the bottom is where most people find the stretch.
Where it fits
The stand sits in our Slant Boards and Squat Wedges range and works well with the rest of the Functional Training Gear in a home gym corner. If you’re kitting out a bodyweight area, pull up bars cover the upper body work a calf raise stand can’t.

Sturdy but light. Perfect. Daughters use as a balance beam too.
